The University of Massachusetts Transit Service
UMass Transit provides busing for the Five Colleges, and has
routes throughout Amherst, Northampton, Hadley, Sunderland, Belchertown
and Deerfield. The bus is free for students.

The PVTA covers the Hampshire, Franklin and Hampden Counties
of Massachusetts, as well as Hartford County in Connecticut.

Peter Pan Bus Lines
Peter Pan Bus Lines offers travel throughout the northeast,
including Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and many
more. Local terminals are located in Amherst, UMass, Hampshire College,
Northampton, Deerfield, Chicopee, Greenfield, South Hadley and Springfield.

The University of Massachusetts Rideshare Program
UMass Parking Services offers a rideshare program as an alternative
to driving to school or work alone. The program offers a carpool
match-up service, reduced parking permit prices and priority spaces,
as well as a guaranteed ride home in case of emergency.

Amtrak offers railroad travel to cities throughout the nation.
Local stations are in Amherst, Springfield, and Pittsfield.

Norwottuck Rail Trail
The Norwottuck Rail Trail is part of the Connecticut River Greenway
State Park and one of two paved rail trails within the Massachusetts
State Forests and Parks System. It follows the former Boston and
Maine Railroad right of way for ten miles through the towns of Amherst,
Hadley, and Northampton.
